Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to announce that this is my last post in the “Why Cairo wants you to get fat” series. It’s not that I’ve run out of ideas; I just don’t want to further depress you and myself. It’s best not to take what I’m saying too seriously if you’d like to keep your sanity.
We’ve discussed everything about the city making us fat, starting from dieticians and outings all the way to the street and traffic. The last thing making you fat, dear readers, is your friends.
Allow me to explain why I’m saying this by telling you about my own experience.
I tend to go through different health-obsessed phases. However, I usually give up and learn that my lifestyle wasn’t that unhealthy to begin with. Nevertheless, I keep going back to that phase whenever I am provoked.
